Newburyport/Bantam

For our first tasting of the year we are having some of my favorite Massachusetts libations producers come in for a 2-for-1 tasting.  For beer we will have the always great Newburyport Brewing Co.  This north shore brewery makes one of Mass’ best year round IPAs with their Green Head IPA.  As well as this fine IPA, they will have Melt Away Session IPA and Plum Island Belgium White to sample as well.  As for cider, the Somerville cider makers of Bantam will be kind enough to let us sample some of their stuff.  Their Wunderkind is a great dry cider in a sea of sweet Massachusetts ciders.  We will also be tasting their Rojo, with sour cherries and peppercorns, and Americain, a mixture of old world, new world cider making techniques that great a really unique, pie-like flavor.  Come try them all and see why they are some of my favorites.  Saturday, August 1st 1-3.
