SUMMARY:Newburyport/Bantam
DESCRIPTION:For our first tasting of the year we are having some of my favorite Massachusetts libations producers come in for a 2-for-1 tasting.  For beer we will have the always great Newburyport Brewing Co.  This north shore brewery makes one of Mass’ best year round IPAs with their Green Head IPA.  As well as this fine IPA\, they will have Melt Away Session IPA and Plum Island Belgium White to sample as well.  As for cider\, the Somerville cider makers of Bantam will be kind enough to let us sample some of their stuff.  Their Wunderkind is a great dry cider in a sea of sweet Massachusetts ciders.  We will also be tasting their Rojo\, with sour cherries and peppercorns\, and Americain\, a mixture of old world\, new world cider making techniques that great a really unique\, pie-like flavor.  Come try them all and see why they are some of my favorites.  Saturday\, August 1st 1-3.

DESCRIPTION:For this one\, of which I am personally excited to have come in our store\, I will let them describe their cider for themselves. \n“We’re using local\, freshly pressed apples to make small batch\, traditional\, craft hard cider in Salem\, MA. Because cider making has a long history in Massachusetts we’re using 250 year old traditional methods like fermenting and slowly aging our cider in barrels. We’re also making a cider that excites us by using the cornucopia of flavors that New England has to offer to further express where our cider comes from. We like to think that our ideas may be far from the tree but our ingredients and our way of doing what we love couldn’t be closer to home.” \nGreat stuff\, super unique\, without a doubt worth trying.  You’ll love them all.  June 13th from 2-5.
