DESCRIPTION:Made in Ipswich\, MA at a small\, craft distillery Privateer is what rum should be.  The silver rum bears no resemblance to the harsh\, phenol flavor of many others.  It is smooth and mixable while showing the true potential of fine rum… Lightly floral with notes of sweet basil\, anise\, cotton candy\, and a hint of butterscotch culminating in a silky finish.\nTheir Amber rum bucks the trend of over-sweet\, spiciness showing rich flavor and complexity similar to fine Bourbon Whiskey.  This rum is exceptionally smooth and round with waves of orange citrus\, sandalwood\, leather\, cinnamon and spice\, and a lingering and silky finish. \nAnd… We’ve got a special sampling today of the limited release\, small batch\, Privateer Gin.  This gin is a must try.  Born out of the famous Privateer Silver Rum\, this gin delivers a depth of flavors that a only small\, hand made batch can deliver – on top of a mouth feel unlike any other gin.  There aren’t many bottles available and samples are just as limited so be sure to come by early before Jay runs out!

Each Single Malt is aged separately in first fill ex bourbon casks and married together for three to six months in a small tun. The finished product is an elegant sipping whisky with an outstanding quality to price ratio.

DESCRIPTION:The next single barrel of Weller 107 is on the way – I just need help choosing… \nLate last summer we chose a single barrel of Weller 107 from a few excellent samples and ended up with a stock of amazing Bourbon.  After word got out the bottles moved pretty quickly and I have had numerous requests for more.  Sadly\, as it goes with single barrels\, that can never be reproduced.  I\, however\, am quite optimistic that we can do just as well if not better with our next selection. \nI’ve got 3 samples from 3 different barrels and am anxious to discover which will be our next private bottling of a single barrel Weller.  The value and quality of this Bourbon are unbeatable  and I cannot wait to have more. \nJoin us on the 6th of June (this Saturday) from 2 to 4pm to help chose the next awesome barrel of Bourbon. \nCheers!

DESCRIPTION:One of the best new craft distilleries is Journeyman Distillery.  Their focus on quality is unique as they own the farm on which the grains for their spirits are grown.  Seed to bottle production is difficult to match\, but Journeyman also takes great care in small batch distilling followed by aging in 15 gallon barrels.  The smaller barrels mean more surface area for the volume of liquid and the whiskey develops more quickly.  The difference is amazing and the variation between barrels is remarkable. \nWe intend to buy one of these exceptional barrels for an exclusive Colonial Spirits bottling! Like other single barrel purchases\, this will be an opportunity to acquire a very unique and extremely high quality whiskey.  The difference\, however\, is that these small batch offerings are hand crafted from seed to bottle and are produced in very small quantities.  Getting a single barrel like this\, at cask strength\, is like winning the whiskey lottery. \nThe selection will take place on Saturday\, March 28th from 1:30-3:30pm (or whenever the small samples run dry) and we want you to decide with us.
