DESCRIPTION:Both Israeli and kosher wine have come a long way from when it was first introduced and thank goodness.  The process of making a wine kosher\, in all actuality\, is closer to organic wine making than it is hocus-pocus\, even wines that are Mevushal are less complicated and convoluted than you might think.  With wineries around the world dedicating some\, if not all\, of their efforts to kosher wine production there are a lot more wines to be had and enjoyed.  We will be taking some time  to taste through wine produced in Chile\, Bordeaux\, New Zealand\, Spain and\, of course\, Israel in order to help educate ourselves and our customers on the wonderful world of Kosher (Mevushal) wines.  Enjoy!

DESCRIPTION:At Colonial Spirits of Acton we host three seasonal “Grand” tastings each year\, but of these three the Big Red tasting is the highlight. The Big Red tasting is the highlight because it showcases our best wine offerings along with familiar favorites and “far out” wines\, and consequently has gotten so big we have had to split it up into two parts\, holding it on consecutive weekends. DESCRIPTION:Although a relatively young Champagne producer\, about 25 years old\, Thienot has broken ground and done what has taken others years to do; produce some of the most elegant champagnes in the market. Champagne by Thienot are predominantly Chardonnay which provides an elegance to the wines that few have been able to recreate. These wines are standouts that should be compared to the best and not taken lightly: Champagnes for the true enthusiasts.  We’ll be  pouring their Brut Classique and Brut Rose. \nWe’ll also be pouring a few bordeaux from both the left bank and the right bank\, including Chateau Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. \nYou won’t want to miss this tasting!
