SUMMARY:Cleveland Underground Bourbon
DESCRIPTION:Cleveland Whiskey has developed a truly innovative technology to create a line of revolutionary new flavor profiles that push the boundaries of traditional bourbon. For generations\, oak has been used to age spirits simply because it has the right pore structure to hold liquid. It’s hard\, if not impossible\, to make a barrel out of black cherry\, sugar maple\, or apple wood that doesn’t leak like a sieve and yet there are so many untapped flavors that can come from these woods. Cleveland Whiskey’s proprietary technology captures those flavors\, letting creativity and innovation shine. \nLearn more at our free tasting.  After all\, the easiest way to learn is to try it for yourself! SUMMARY:Unusual(ly delicious) Irish Whiskies
DESCRIPTION:Irish whiskey is well known for it’s mellow character and golden color.  Although there are plenty of interesting Irish whiskies available\, it’s unusual to find flavors like those found in smoky scotch or classic American styles.  The only peated Irish whiskey and the first Irish rye are remarkably delicious… and you can decide for yourself. \nThese sound like new styles in Irish whiskey but there is actually an amazing history behind the distilleries that make these fine spirits.  Find out where great whiskey comes from in Ireland with a presentation of unusually delicious whiskey made by brand ambassador Cathal O’Connor. \nFree samples and a brief history of whiskey!

SUMMARY:Sample the Coastal Highlands with a Scotch Expert
DESCRIPTION:Join traveled Scotch expert Nick Taylor on an educational distillery ‘tour’ of Scotland’s coastal highlands. \nKnockdhu (anCnoc whisky)\, Old Pulteney and Balblair are three legendary old distilleries\, producing some of the best whisky in the world. They’ve been around for 125\, 193 and 229 years respectively. Time is enormously important in whisky\, not only in aging excellent whisky\, but also in learning the ins and outs of the particular stills. The distillery managers at these three distilleries have over 100 combined years of experience\, most of which has been spent managing distilleries and producing stunning whisky. Over the decades of running these distilleries\, they have perfected the fermentation\, aging and distillation at each location. In this seminar\, Nick Taylor will take you through the distillation process\, explain the nuances of each distillery’s individual techniques and demonstrate how that impacts these stunning whiskies. \nThe Seminar will include free samples of: \nanCnoc 12yr\, anCnoc Cutter\, Old Pulteney 12yr\, Old Pulteney 17yr\, Balblair 2003\, Balblair 1999

SUMMARY:Von Trapp Brewing Tasting

They now reside at their newer 30\,000 square foot facility that is capable of brewing a whopping 36\,000 barrels annually! Through the 9 years of business they’ve received numerous amounts of awards for their beers. This is not a shocker as all of their brews emulate German style beers terrifically.  Join us on April 6th from 1-4 to taste some of the best pilsner/ lagers in New England! \n-Colonial Spirits Beer Team

SUMMARY:Daou Winery Tasting & Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Daou Winery & Vineyards went from being a new winery to the IT winery. How? By producing world-class wines that go neck-and-neck with the greats.\nThe Daou Winery is the modern day American Dream story. Two Lebanese brothers move to the United States in hopes of creating a better life for themselves and their families. They succeed and decided that returning to their roots by opening a winery was the next step in their journey. Fast-forward a few years and what you have is a standout winery in the heart of Paso Robles surrounded by what is considered to be one of the best vineyard sites in all of California–André Tchelistcheff words\, not ours. \nHowever\, us talking about it doesn’t do the Daou’s story or legacy any justice. Which is why we will be hosting David Muir the ‘Soul of the Lion’ Brand Ambassador from Daou the evening of Thursday\, April 11 at Quail Ridge Country Club. This will be an opportunity to experience\, with the help of an insider\, what Daou is about. \nThe lineup: \n\n2017 Chardonnay Paso Robles\n2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles\n2017 The Pessimist Red Blend Paso Robles\n2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Paso Robles\n2016 Soul of the Lion Red Blend Paso Robles\n\nTo RSVP email Nic at nicolay@colonialspirits.com. There are a limited number of seats so don’t hesitate. The cover for this event is $10 per person.

SUMMARY:Bourbon Barrel Picks 2019
DESCRIPTION:Single barrel whiskey of any kind is special\, as a unique expression of the whiskey developed from the isolated environment of only one barrel.  Certainly Weller 107 is a sought after bottle and Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare offer exceptional value –  so the chance to select our own barrels is an exciting challenge.  After all\, our barrels should be better than what you can get on the shelf everyday! \nI’ve requested and received samples from 3 different barrels at each of the above mentioned distilleries and now it’s time to pick the best one.  The selection will take place on Saturday\, April 13th at 3pm and we want you to decide with us.  The samples are pretty small so the selection process is limited to how long the samples last. \n

SUMMARY:Jack's Abby Craft Lagers Tasting
DESCRIPTION:Jack’s Abby was founded in 2011 by a trio of brothers ready to dive head first into the booming craft beer business. Since their opening in 2011\,  Jack’s has exceeded expectations. They’ve won over 50 awards\,  tripled the size of their brewery\, expanded throughout the country and all while doing that added another brewery to their family (Springdale). One of the breweries very unique traits is the use of old-world brewing techniques. This takes a little bit longer ranging from 4-6 weeks but the final product is a much more balanced beer.  In addition to that they source their hops and malt from small family operations in Bavaria.  If you ask me there’s no better way to brew German style beer than brewing it with German ingredients. Now that you know a little bit about the beer it’s time for you to come in and enjoy it! Stop by on April 20th from 12pm to 3pm to drink some delicious Massachusetts made Lagers. \n-Colonial Spirits Beer Team

SUMMARY:Harpoon and UFO Tasting
DESCRIPTION:Can you believe Harpoon has been around since 1986!?! It all started with three friends who loved beer and most importantly loved to drink beer. They wanted to expand the selection of craft beer available to the very limited market there was. 33 years and 128 different beers later Harpoon is still one of the premier independent craft brewers in New England! On Saturday April 27th from 2 pm to 4 pm we will be pouring a variety of Harpoon’s brews along with a few UFO’s as well. Come on down and try some of the latest beers they’ve got to offer! \n-Colonial Spirits Beer Team

SUMMARY:Unique Irish Whiskey

SUMMARY:Spring Grand Wine Tasting 2019
DESCRIPTION:The first of our three largest wine-related events: 2019 Spring Grand Wine Tasting\nSpring is in full force\, rain and all\, and summer vacation is around the corner. With so many new wines flooding in for the beginning of the vacation season\, the task of finding a new summer favorite can be daunting. Which is why so many of us go back to familiar favorites. Trying to pick a wine based on descriptors\, write-ups\, and reviews can be overwhelming because who has ever tried limestone? Let us take the guesswork out of wine buying. \nThis Saturday\, from 2-5 PM\, we will be hosting our first of three grand tastings. The Spring Grand Tasting focuses on wines that are light\, fun and made to quench your thirst on those hot summer days. Light reds\, whites\, and rosés (and a sparkler or two) will be on full display this afternoon for your sampling pleasure. With at least 50 bottles to pick from\, there will be a wine for everyone. \nFrom the exotic hills of Provence to the valleys of Marlborough (NZ) and onto the cool terrains of Austria.\nThere will be wines from across the globe that range from light and slightly effervescent to citrus\, tangy\, and mouthwatering. The goal is to not only display the multitude of wines we have to offer but also educate your palate on what is out there. Wine should not be a hard-boiled-egg (as tasty as that may be)\, it should fun and bring back happy memories. Even if that memory is as simple as having come across a particular wine at a local event. This tasting is to help you explore the wonderful world of wine. \nThe Lineup:\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nGary Parsons\nDomaine Blondeau Sancerre Rose\n\n\n\nBouchard Bourgogne Rouge Pinot Noir\n\n\n\nMarco Felluga “Mongris” Pinot Grigio\n\n\n\nAia Vecchia “Langone” Rosso Toscana\n\n\n\nChateau Routas Rosé Coteaux Varois en Provence\n\n\n\nChateau Gassier “Espirit” Rose\n\n\n\nAia Vecchia Vermentino Toscana\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMichael Seidel\nStarmont Chardonnay Carneros\n\n\n\nNotios by Gai’a White Peloponnisos\n\n\n\nNotios by Gai’a Red Peloponnisos\n\n\n\nFritz Muller Perlwein Muller-Thurgau Rheinhessen\n\n\n\nMas Ste Berthe Rosé Les Baux-de-Provence\n\n\n\nJames Bryant Hill Estate Pinot Noir Central Coast\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMark Colantonio\nSonoma Cutrer Rosé of Pinot Noir RRV\n\n\n\nClos Pegase Mitsuko Vyd Sauv Blanc Carneros\n\n\n\nCarlos Serres Rioja Reserva\n\n\n\nDonnafugata Anthilia Bianco Sicilia\n\n\n\nMaison Saleya Rosé Coteaux d’Aix en Provence\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDave Bender\nBenjamin Leroux Auxey-Duresses\n\n\n\nChampagne Moutard Grande Cuvée Brut NV\n\n\n\nGerard Boulay ‘Sybylle’ Sancerre Rosé\n\n\n\nStafford Hill Pinot Noir Willamette Vly\n\n\n\nMessanges Rouge by Pallus Chinon\n\n\n\nLa Val Albariño Rias Baixas\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTim Laskey\nCasale del Giglio Chardonnay Lazio\n\n\n\nStoneburn Pinot Noir Marlborough\n\n\n\nWithout Papers White Blend\n\n\n\nSansilvestro ‘Primaio’ Dolcetto d’Alba\n\n\n\nPellehaut Blanc Harmonie de Gascogne\n\n\n\nPellehaut Rosé Harmonie de Gascogne\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBarbara Cloonan\nSeaSun Chardonnay California\n\n\n\nWither HIlls Pinot Noir Marlborough\n\n\n\nBatasiolo Moscato d’Asti\n\n\n\nElk Cove Estate Pinot Noir Rosé Willamette Vly\n\n\n\nCarmen Gran Reserva Carmenere Apalta\n\n\n\nFantini Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo\n\n\n\nMAN Free-run Chenin Blanc Coastal Region\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTony Branco\nAndresen 10yr White Porto\n\n\n\nDuquesa de la Victoria Rioja Crianza\n\n\n\nTombacco Biferno Rosso Riserva\n\n\n\n47 Anno Domini Prosecco\n\n\n\nMonte Velho by Esporao Tinto Alentejo\n\n\n\nCabriz Rosé Dão\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGary Routenberg\nCh du Seuil Graves Rouge\n\n\n\nCh Patache d’Aux Cru Bourgeois Medoc Rouge\n\n\n\nDampt Freres Chevalier d’Eon Bourgogne Tonnerre\n\n\n\nFont Sarade Plan de Dieu Cuvée Egoiste\n\n\n\nJ.
