DESCRIPTION:I am very pleased\, and fortunate\, to have Donal O’Gallachoir hosting a unique Irish Whiskey experience.  Donal is one of the principals at the first craft distillery in Ireland.  Of course\, at one time there were many craft distilleries however\, consolidation and large corporate ownership have shaped distilling in Ireland for a long time. \nGlendalough’s whiskeys bring quality and breadth to what was a ubiquitous category.  If you thought you knew Irish whiskey\, think again.  I was thrilled to learn about the history of distilling in Ireland and to taste spirits that are well outside my expectations.  I hope you will be too. \nTheir newest addition is a gin that offers something very different.  The terroir of the Wicklow Countryside is ’embottled’ using fresh foragings and a traditional (for whiskey) cooper pot still. \nJoin us for an Irish whiskey experience\, December 15th from 4-7pm.

Can’t do the math? That’s upwards of 144 bottles over the two weekends. If that wasn’t enough\, we will be offering finger food as well. Whoever said bigger is better\, at least in this case\, was right. DESCRIPTION:For the third year in a row\, we will be hosting the Goose Island Bourbon County Black Friday release.  This was a huge success last year and the year before so why change something that ain’t broke.\nHere is how the release will work for the Goose Island Bourbon County.  We will be opening our doors at 9am on Friday\, November 24th.  Once the doors open\, we will be funneling people into our tasting room. We will have a one bottle limit on the variants and a 3 case limit on the Brand Stout. There will be plenty of the Brand Stout to go around\, but the variants will be in short supply per usual. So\, if you are looking to get your hands on some of the variants arrive early. That is the basic breakdown. \nAdditionally\, three lucky customers will be fortunate enough to not have to wait in line. You read that right. By purchasing a raffle ticket(s) your name will be entered in the raffle for the chance to win the opportunity to purchase the full allotment without having to wait in line. The allotment will be reserved and may be purchased at a later time within 30 days of Friday\, Nov 24\, 2017\, if not the allotment will be placed in open inventory. No limits on the number of tickets and all proceeds will go to the Acton Food Pantry. Tickets may be purchased HERE or in-store at the register. \nThis has become an annual event and each year has seen the interest and reception of these beers grow. DESCRIPTION:We welcome back our favorite Kiwi\, Liz\, who will be representing Wither Hills and Sophora wines.\nIn a not too distant past\, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was anything but known. Now we can’t seem to get enough of it. Some wineries rely on their legacy for continued growth\, while others put it all on the table. Wither Hill is the latter. Once a source for some of the wineries of today\, Wither Hills has decided that producing their own wines was going to be the plan going forward. The Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and palate enticing. The Pinot Noir is lush with lean fruit notes and a nice backbone of smoke. \nSophora is a sparkling wine producer based out of New Zealand. New Zealand’s wide range of regions and cooler climate makes it the perfect country for sparkling wines. These wines have life and resonate with the vibrancy that New Zealand wines are known for. With hints of quince\, orange rind\, and lemongrass these sparklers offer just as much as nuances and flavors as the rest. \nBoth Wither Hills and Sophora produce great wines\, but nothing beats finding out for yourself.
