Mead has seen a recent rise in interest and intrigue as of late, and rightly so when you consider it is one of the oldest forms of alcohol. But modern mead isn’t quite what you expect. Enter House Bear Brewing. House Bear is one of the newer mead brewers but in this short time they have created quite a “buzz” with meads like World War Bee, Paradise Unpaved, and Show Bear. This is not only an opportunity to understand what mead is but also an opportunity to see what brewers like House Bear are doing and the path they are carving for modern mead.
