This isn’t the Vinho Verde you grew up knowing. Unlike the ever-so-popular blue labeled bottle you are probably thinking of, this Vinho Verde is 100% Alvarinho (Albariño in Spain). A grape that balances the riper notes of honeydew melon and peach with grapefruit and kumquat. The acidity is well-balanced and doesn’t take away from the flavor, rather adds depth to it.
