Description
A quintessential โblanc de blancsโ Champagne, this has notes of fresh green apple, citrus, bread dough & pastry with a delicate mousse (fine bubbles). Raw oysters would be a fantastic pairing!
Le Mesnil is a co-operative founded in 1937 in the Cote des Blancs, an area of Champagne known for the high quality of its Chardonnay. For this bottling, whole clusters of Chardonnay are delicately pressed, fermented in stainless steel and aged for at least 3 years on the lees. About 10% reserve wine from past vintages is blended in and the wine is finished with a dosage of 9 grams/liter. It rests then for an additional 6 months in bottle before release.
