Ribera del Duero and Rueda Wine Tasting, Part 2
May 2, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Missed it the 1st time? Here is an opportunity to catch up.
The DOs of Ribera del Duero and Rueda have joined forces to showcase their wines through tastings and partnerships. CLICK HERE to read more about the new venture. Ribera del Duero may not be as well known as Rioja, but the wines are just as serious, in some cases even more so. The wines are rich and powerful, they resemble New World wines more so than Old World wines. Rueda is known for its white wines. These wines are classic representations of the region and wines from Europe: bright acidity, stone fruit notes, and pair well with an array of dishes. The only downside is that the varietal Verdejo is less known than other varietals like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio, but it’s quality is right up there with the rest. But as always, you don’t have to take my word for it, just stop by and see for yourself.
