Shannon Ridge Wine tasting with Amy

It’s back! Shannon Ridge that is. It has been about 4 years since we last had any wines from Shannon Ridge, but I’m happy to say that they are back and better than ever. All of the wines are sustainably and estate grown and are some of the best representations of the classic California style of winemaking; rich, reserved, concentrated, fruity and a whole lot of fun in the glass. Shannon Ridge is out of Lake County AVA, a newer appellation that boasts rich wines that show restraint and balance. To put it into perspective a LOT of brand labels purchase fruit from Lake County to give their wines the body and fruitiness necessary to make a sellable wine. Shannon Ridge is unique because they are one of the few true wineries in the area that, better still, make great wines.
