Come Celebrate Oktoberfest at Colonial Spirits of Acton!

Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest

Colonial Spirits Oktoberfest

Every autumn, just as the leaves begin to turn, Colonial Spirits of Acton hosts a very special beer tasting…

“When we set out to put together an Oktoberfest tasting, we wanted to create a tasting that was far superior to a standard beer tasting,” said Tim Bush, President of Colonial Spirits of Acton. “After all, this is a celebration of what we have deemed to be the best seasonal category of beers: Oktoberfest!”

Unlike other seasonal beers, Oktoberfest is a brewing style that has persisted for hundreds of years. If it wasn’t for its name, ‘Oktoberfest,’ it would likely be popular year-round.

“So, we wanted to get all of the Oktoberfest beers together so that customers can come in and try them all,” said Tim. “Grill up some brats, offer some additional snacks, and throw in some German music… and you’ve got a beer tasting worthy of being called “Grand!”

And “Grand” it will be… GRAND OKTOBERFEST TASTING – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH, 1-4PM @ COLONIAL SPIRITS OF ACTON! Continue reading Come Celebrate Oktoberfest at Colonial Spirits of Acton!

Two Upcoming Grand Wine Tastings at Colonial Spirits of Acton

Illahe Pinot Noir

At Colonial Spirits of Acton, we love educating our customers about beer, liquor & wine. Our educational outreach comes in many forms, from the posts on our blog, to our email newsletters, to our printed magazines. But, if pressed to cite our favorite method of educating our customers, the answer is easy: Tastings!

Sure, one can garner a great deal of information about a particular small-batch spirit, a new craft brew, or a classic white wine from reading an expert opinion on a given libation. Reading expert reviews can help to cultivate your palate by giving you new ideas about the cornucopia of taste sensations out there to experience, and help to improve your personal collection by pointing you in the direction of drinks that you are likely to enjoy.

The thing is, no matter how many reviews on a given beverage you may read, there is simply no substitute for sampling it yourself, which is why we hold regular beer, liquor, and wine tastings at our store in Acton, MA every month. So, we’d like to invite you to view our Events Calendar to see all of our scheduled upcoming tastings today, and remind you to check back regularly, as we are adding more events all the time.

At this time, we’d like to draw your attention to two upcoming “grand tastings” in particular… COMING SOON TO COLONIAL SPIRITS OF ACTON: FALL HARVEST GRAND WINE TASTING & BIG RED WINTER GRAND WINE TASTING! Continue reading Two Upcoming Grand Wine Tastings at Colonial Spirits of Acton
